It has a lucky combination of parts which can be matched for excellent midrange phase response. We also add a special cut dampening blanket behind the woofers to correct for an incorrect port tuning. (No port should be directly behind woofers). Both woofer and tweeter crossovers are improved to be 2nd order filters; the woofer filter being shaped to be phase correct at midrange voice, The speaker has a very slight midbass rise but bass is tuned now below 60 Hz to 40 Hz and has far better tighter deep bass.Call for modifications, or a kit could be supplied.
