The problem on these designs is the glass ferrite head cracks open of internal wire and head's surfaces can corrode! I can re-polish the head. It's a very special process that costs $88 plus return shipping. Head re-lapping will not work on these. Replacements of heads is extremely difficult to match spec, because the electronics are very special to the performance of record + play. It does not follow normal rules but it can work OK if unit is calibrated back to standard N. A.
